It was Yamaha’s G & C series of grand pianos that made them such a good value and viable in the North American market as they started making their way into music schools, performance venues, private teaching & recording studios, as well as homes with promising pianists.

Yamaha continued to develop and improve these two lines, branching them out into what are now the CX and GC models.

The GC line has retained more of the features of the highly successful original C series.  The company has been able to keep production costs under control to make this, in our opinion, Yamaha’s best combination of price/performance.

This polished ebony 5’ 3” classic GC1M was purchased new from us in February 2025.  Unfortunately, our client needed to move out of state and never took possession of it.  It is technically new but is considered pre-owned. Because of that, PianoWerkes is still providing a 10-year warranty — the same duration as the factory.
