The Steinway Model “M” music room grand became a sort of crossover piano; loved by private piano teachers and individual pianists alike, it also made its way into the faculty studios of major music schools and colleges, smaller churches, and venues, etc.  At 5’ 7” in length, it was neither too small nor too large.

There is a fondness for the Steinway pianos produced in the “Golden Era” of the 20^th century, long before the company was purchased by CBS.  Many believe these pianos were superior to what came after that ownership change.
