Neal Hickson and his dedicated PianoWerkes team have made significant contributions to the community through sponsorship of in-store concerts and master classes . . . as well as providing concert grand pianos for piano competitions . . . plus many other community service activities and programs.

• Abiqiui Chamber Music – PianoWerkes sponsors and underwrites the opening concert of the summer.
• Albuquerque Chamber Soloist – PianoWerkes provides its nine-foot Yamaha Concert Grand and sells tickets at the store for ACS series at no surcharge to ACS.
• Club Beethoven – Sponsor of their Chamber Music Series held at Hotel Andaluz, and provided a Yamaha Concert Grand.
• Santa Fe Chamber Music – PianoWerkes provides pianos for use by host families to the artist for the summer festival.
• Santa Fe Opera – PianoWerkes provides the Yamaha Concert Grand for Educational Outreach programs and concerts in Albuquerque.
• Santa Fe Opera – PianoWerkes provides a piano for the opera fundraiser at the Balloon Fiesta Museum.
• Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Convention – PianoWerkes provided a nine-foot Yamaha Concert Grand to Music Teachers State Convention for its concert by the featured clinician at the Albuquerque Academy.
• Dennis Alexander Workshop – PianoWerkes co-sponsored, and hosted with the Albuquerque Music Teachers Association, an Educators Workshop for the New Mexico piano teachers.
• PianoWerkes hosts meetings and sessions in the store of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) presented by the New Mexico Chapter.
• Workshops schedule for PTG to be conducted by Yoshi Suzuki, Yamaha Senior Technician.
• PianoWerkes provided a nine-foot Yamaha concert grand for the Dennis Alexander Piano Competition.
• Clavinova Fun Fest – PianoWerkes sponsored a Clavinova Fun Fest held at the Kosmos Theatre.
• Church Grant Program that offers churches an opportunity for free six months trial of a grand piano, accompanied by Yamaha-supported “Buy A Key” fund raising campaign.
